A New World

Although I’ve been playing a bit of  many games recently (Bioshock, Warhamer, Prince of Persia, Everquest, Vanguard, etc), I’ve decided to delve into a game that I haven’t played in quite some time. This game brings me into the world of Azeroth.

Choosing to create a new character instead of using one of my previous level 80s, I’ve awaken to find myself on an island that many call Azuremyst. My character is of the draenei race. Supposedly, I’m an alien from another planet. The ship I was traveling on crashed into this peculiar planet where I now must learn to survive. How a ship crashes into a planet? I may never know, but it’s interesting enough and supported by the surrounding quests and ambient non-player characters (NPCs). So…Here my journey begins into a new virtual world. Will I be here to stay this time? Only time will tell.

Where’s “my” end game?

Throughout my journey in Aion, I’ve realized that the MMO element of the game isn’t what I was looking for. As a gamer, I’m looking for a game that motivates me to play with others at maximum level. Working as a team, I want to gather information, complete tasks, and defeat enemies with a common objective. End game just wasn’t what I was expecting. I’d like to go over what I was and wasn’t anticipating in the MMO game, “Aion: The Tower of Eternity“. Read more…

Farewell to a Friend

It’s always a sad day when you lose a guild mate or in this case an outfit mate. It’s best not to say much, but more so to remember all the great times you had together. Yesterday, we had a memorial for our good friend Pawnee. He was one of the best magrider drivers I’ve seen in a long time. We used to rack up the K/D (kill/death) ratios like no other. His laughter and silly jokes will truly be missed.

Rest in peace good friend,

A Revolutionary Resolution

…So the time comes around once more when I’m told the year has passed before me. This is a time to recollect my memories and the experiences, bringing both bad and good to my attention. In the past, I’ve shrugged off the New Year with a smug, “meh”. Who needs resolution? What’s the big deal? I’m one year closer to my death bed and people want me to celebrate this? How many people actually follow through with their resolutions anyways?

Ah, but the years they go by and for some reason, I find myself enjoying this sentimental cycle. It’s a reminder that we only live one life and that our dice may not roll high enough to pass the athletic check when we’re chasing the cat back into the house, or the perception check when we’re crossing the street. Yes, It’s a time to cherish and be grateful for all the seconds we breathe on this lovely planet we call earth. For heaven knows, I won’t roll twenties forever.

Nothing Better to Say (Goodbye)

He said, she said
She said, he said
I don’t know what’s going on
But I’m not, gonna
Sit here and take this anymore
No, it’s just not fair
